When you send a proposal to your client, you may want to provide some additional information, but don't necessarily want to add additional pages to your proposal. Adding a clickable hyperlink will allow you to do just.

Adding Links to Line Items

To add hyperlinks directly to an item in your project, head over to the Builder and click on the item to open the Edit Item window.

Click on the globe icon at the top to open the text field, enter the web address that you want to link, and then click Save at the bottom of the window.

Once a website has been successfully linked to the item, the globe icon will appear yellow in the Edit Item window.

To view, edit, or change the linked url, you can hover over the yellow globe icon and then click the pencil icon to open it for editing.

Enabling Links to Line Items on Proposals

If you'd like to make these line item links accessible in your proposal, you can select this option within the Designer area of your account.

Select your Line Items page, click "Edit Options", select the checkbox for "Web Link Icons", and then click "Save Page".

Once your proposal is generated in your project, the line items page will display the globe icon next to all items that have webpages linked to them.

When a proposal is digitally sent to your client, and clicking the globe will open a new tab that displays the linked webpage.

Adding Links to Scope of Work and Dynamic Text

To include hyperlinks on text in the Room Scope or as Dynamic Text in the Builder (Discussion page, Text 1, or Text 2), you'll go to the Builder of your project.

In the desired section, highlight and select the words that you want to link, and then click the hyperlink icon in the text formatting bar.

This will open a field to enter the url to be linked to that text. Once the link is entered, click the blue "Link" button to save it.

To view, change, or remove the link that is attached to the text, you can click anywhere within the underlined text, and then click again on the highlighted hyperlink icon in the text formatting bar. Now, you can either edit the linked webpage or unlink the text completely.

Be sure to click "Save" at the end to save your changes! After saving, the linked text will appear blue and underlined in the Scope to indicate that there is a link attached.

When a proposal is digitally sent to your client, the linked text will appear underlined and bold, and clicking it will open a new tab that displays the linked webpage.
