When a service case is ready to be billed, you can generate an invoice for that service case in your Jetbuilt account. You also have the ability to download the invoice as a .pdf, or send it directly to your client within Jetbuilt.
Creating a Service Invoice Template
In the Designer area of your account, you'll first need to create a new Company Page and select "Service Invoice" as the template.
Once you give the new page a name and click "Create", you can start customizing your Service invoice by adding text and images into the Header or the Footer of the page.
NOTE: You must add the new Service Invoice template page to a new Report Group to be able to generate the invoice in a Service case. (add the page into a Report Group.)
Customize the Invoice Numbering Scheme
You can choose to customize your Service invoice numbering by going to Settings>Company>Numbering and editing the Invoice Prefix and Number fields. The scheme you choose here will automatically populate in the invoice number field when creating a Service invoice.
Generating a Service Invoice
After the page has been created and added to the Report Group, you are ready to create an invoice in a Service case. Head over to the Service tab in your account and click on the service case for which you'd like to create the invoice. Click on the Invoice tab, and then click "+ Add Invoice".
In the window that pops up, you can choose to edit the invoice number, invoice due date, and the file name of the invoice. You can also choose to include any Closing Notes recorded within the Service case.
Select your Report Group and click "Generate" to create the Service invoice.
Once the invoice is created, you can then either download the invoice as a .pdf file or send it directly to your client within Jetbuilt.
If you are a Jetpay user, you can also opt to include the option for your client to pay online via Jetpay by clicking "Send to Client" and selecting the checkbox to enable Jetpay under the message field.
