Adjusting Notifications

How to opt in/out of the various types of email and Radar notifications

There are a few different areas in Settings where you can change what type notifications are available to you and your company, either via email or through Radar.

Settings > Me > Notifications

To adjust your personal notifications, go to Settings > Me > Notifications.

These settings control whether you receive an email regarding:

  • Your company's dashboard (set to be received daily or weekly)

  • Project Creation

  • Client Creation

  • Projects moving to Contract stage

  • Discussions with which you are associated

  • Sales tasks

  • Install tasks

  • Service appointments

  • Service case opened/closed

  • Portal file updates

  • Stock level updates

Once you have selected your desired settings, please scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Update My Information to save these changes. 

Settings > Company > Basics

If you have permissions to access this area, go to Settings > Company > Basics and you will find a setting for notifying outside parties when a project moves to the Contract stage.

With this setting enabled, you can enter as many email addresses as you'd like, such as emails for your accounting or purchasing teams, so they can be notified of a project that has moved into the Contract stage.

Once you have selected your desired settings, please scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Update Company to save these changes.

Settings > Company > Defaults

If you have permissions to access this area, go to Settings > Company > Defaults and you will find a setting near the bottom of the page for notifying project owners and project managers of certain actions.

These settings control whether the project owner and project manager of a project receive an email regarding:

  • When a project moves to the Contract stage

  • When a project moves to the Install stage

  • When a project deposit is paid

    • (This means that the first time anyone enters a value other than zero in the "Payments to Date" field at the bottom of the Project Details window within a project, you will receive a notification of that action.)

Once you have selected your desired settings, please click Update Notifications to save these changes.
