How to display two tax rates on your Canadian proposals

Many locations in Canada require two stacking tax rates. Jetbuilt allows you to add a second tax rate for projects that are set to a Canadian location. Here's how to do it!

To add a second tax rate:

  1. Create a new project (or open Project Details on an existing project) and make sure the project site address country is set to Canada.

  2. Scroll down to the Tax section, and click "+Add Tax"

  3. This will open a new row of tax fields so you can enter a second tax name and rate. Please note that our "Lookup Tax" feature doesn't currently work outside of the US - you will need to manually enter the rate. (We're looking into better solutions for this!)

When you have two tax rates entered on a project, it will show the combined rate in the Builder as a single tax line, but on your proposals it will show a separate line for each tax type.

Hope this helps! If you have any questions, feel free to ping us in the support chat!
