Switching from Due Dates to Scheduled Tasks

An important setting to select before you start creating Install tasks!

When using the Install platform to manage project installation tasks, you can choose if you want tasks to be assigned with due dates or as a scheduled task.

To choose, go to Settings > Install where you can select Use Due Dates or Use Scheduled Start Times. Then click Update Task Planning.

You can change this at any time, but going from one setting to the other will change times/due dates of tasks, so please be aware and cautious of this.

For that reason, we recommend testing out both settings to see which you prefer. Once you've found your desired setting, choose it and stick to it.

Use Due Dates

If you choose to go with due dates, when you create a new Install task, you will see a Due On field.

Use Scheduled Start Times

If you choose to go with start times, when you create a new Install task, you will see a few fields for Date, Time, and Time Zone.
