Closing a Service Case

Close a service case when service has been completed and record your findings

Written by Support

When a service case is completed, simply click "Close Case" in the timeline on the Service Case Overview page.

This will pull up a form where you can enter any notes and findings from the field and identify the issue.

Identifying the Issue

In the close case window, select the checkbox to explain the issue:

  • Physical Installation Issue - Weak crimp, damaged cabling, cold solder joint, etc.

  • Programming Issue - Weakness or other error in programming

  • User Issue - Misuse of system, device unplugged, etc.

  • Failed Item - Equipment failure

The selected option (issue) will appear as part of the closed case notes in the service case.

When Failed Item is selected, a second set of checkboxes will appear so you can select the associated asset (if applicable) or select Other to search for other equipment from the associated project.

When equipment is listed as the cause of the issue, this data will be included in the Most Serviced Items report available under Service>Reports.

Client Signature for Closed Service Cases

If you need to get your client's signature when closing out the Service case, you can do so from the JetbuiltGO mobile app on your phone.

Open up the JetbuiltGO app, tap on the navigation menu in the top left, and tap Service. From there, tap on the Service case you wish to close, then tap on Case, and then tap Close Case, which will open the window seen below.

Complete the fields, then ask your client to sign in the signature box, and tap Close Case.

Now, on desktop, you will see their signature with the notes and findings in the Timeline of the newly closed Service case.
