The Trash Can is a feature that lets users remove items and bundles from a project without deleting them entirely. Deleted items are moved to the Trash Can, where they can be restored or deleted permanently.

The link to access the Trash Can is located at the bottom of the left-side navigation menu of the Builder.

When viewing the items in the Trash Can, each item will be listed with it's description, Room, System, quantity, cost, and price.

Items that are deleted from a Bundle will be listed in the Trash Can with the Bundle name next to the item name in parentheses.

Bundles that are deleted can be expanded to view the contents of the Bundle, in the same way as in the Builder. Individual items cannot be restored from within a deleted Bundle; you will need to restore the entire Bundle and then delete the unwanted items from the Bundle.

To return to the Builder, you can click the "Return to Builder" link on the top left, or click Builder on the left-side navigation menu.

To restore a single item to your project from the Builder Trash, you can hover your mouse over the item name to bring up the editing icons, and click the blue trash restoration icon.

To restore items in bulk, you can select the checkboxes next to the desired items, and then click "Restore".

When an item is restored to the project, the item will be restored to the Room and System it was previously assigned to, if that Room and/or System still exists in the project.

However, if the Room and/or System where the item was originally assigned has been deleted, the items will be restored to a new Room/System called "Restored Items". The "Restored Items" Rooms and Systems are listed under the "Inactive" Rooms and Systems on the left-side menu.

You can then click into these "Restored Items" Rooms/Systems to view the items and open the Edit Item window, and then assign it to an active Room/System in your project.

Restoring an item will also restore any files attached to that item on the Files tab, restore any tasks attached to that item on the Install tab (for Install users), and will restore the item on the Assets tab of the project.

To permanently delete a single item from the Trash Can, you can hover your mouse over the item name to bring up the editing icons, and click the red circle X icon.

To permanently delete items in bulk, you can select the checkboxes next to the desired items, and then click "Empty Trash".

Once the items have been permanently deleted in the Builder Trash, they will not be recoverable.
