If you'd like to sell ongoing product support, maintenance, customer service, etc., you can add this to your project as a Service Package.

To set up Service Packages:

1. Go to Settings > Company > Service Packages, and click "+Add Package"

Or if you want to set up a service package that is unique to one of your Company Offices, go to Settings > Offices > (Select the Office) > Service Packages > + Add Package:

Service packages that are set up for a specific office will only be available to use on Projects that are set in that Office.

2. You can then fill in the details of your support package:

  • The Package Name will appear on your Proposals, so make it something you want your clients to see.

  • The Short Description is just an internal description for your team.

  • The Full Description will appear on its own page in your proposal. This is where you can tell your client what's covered in this support package.

  • The Pricing Method determines how the service package total is calculated.

  • The Program Term describes when your client will pay for this package. It can be recurring (monthly/annually) or it can be a one-time payment that covers a set amount of time (2-years, or 3-years).

3. Select from the additional options/defaults:

  • Smart Rounding: If you are setting up the price as a percentage, you may choose to apply Smart Rounding. You can round to the nearest whole dollar, or set it to round no more than a certain percentage of the price, and it will round accordingly.

  • If you select Use By Default, this service package will automatically show up in every new project you create.

  • If a package is Protected, it can only be edited or removed from the project by users with Admin permissions.

  • If a package is Included in the project, the package total is rolled into the project total, and will be listed as part of the project on the Acceptance page. (It will not be quoted as a separate option the client can select, but rather it is included as part of the base project.)

  • Taxed determines whether the service package should be taxed or not. If you are using separate tax rates for Equipment and Labor, your service package will use your Labor tax rate.

4. Click Add and you're all set!

Once your Service Package is set up, you can add it to a project on the Project Overview page.
