Occasionally, users may open a Jetbuilt CSV export in Excel and find that there are strange or unexpected symbols appearing in their file. This is likely caused by Excel expecting incorrect encoding for the CSV file.

How to Change Excel's Encoding Settings

Select the Data Ribbon from the top bar, then Select From Text/CSV.

When the window opens for you to choose an encoding, select UTF-8, which is an international standard. Then click Load.

And that's it! Your CSVs should now be reading as expected in Excel.
